In short, this is the ultimate reef remedy that will save you from heartache

As I studied RODI systems, I watched many videos, read many articles, and kept up with the times a lot. Back and forth. I finally settled on the Aquatic Life version as their installation videos are the most complete and helpful of all. I think I made the right choice! When I received the package I was impressed with the clarity of the instructions and the bright, clear coloring throughout the surface. This is very useful for mechanically non-inclined people like me. This will be my first or second plumbing adventure and I was certainly shy about the whole process. Very important note: the video and this product refer to a sink with a PLASTIC drain, not metal. Plastic is by far the most common, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but my sink turned out to be metal. Drat. If you have a plastic flush tube, you're in good shape. It doesn't matter if you prefer to use the device in the bath, but it makes the job easier. I recommend that if you don't know what to do, you should call a plumber. Not because it's difficult, but because they can ensure it's installed correctly (it only takes about 30 minutes) and only costs about $50 per operation. I ended up doing it myself, but it involved drilling a hole in a metal tube, applying a rubber sticker to prevent leakage, and a few other things. I also had copper tubing, which turned out to be another challenge. I had to shorten the pipe, grab two adapters for the (included) T-valve, and I also grabbed an extended RODI plastic water hose. into tub to fill 5 gallon pitchers. That way, if I forget to turn it off, the excess water goes harmlessly down the drain. I strongly recommend that you follow the same procedure no matter which filter you choose. I have noticed a huge improvement in the quality of my reef tank. I didn't notice a big change in the algae, but the fish are doing noticeably better, as is the coral. If I used to have problems with new fish mortality, now they all survived and are quite happy. For this reason, I strongly recommend purchasing a RODI system for all saltwater aquariums. While I found this setup a little tricky, I think this is probably the easiest and most workable RODI system for most people.
