It's a little loud at first, but you get used to it. I brought it out originally to see what my dogs would do with it. I have 3 dogs, and 1 is scared of it, but to be fair he's scared of everything. The other 2 like it. It repeats everything, even sentences, just in a little higher pitch. So when my dogs get tired of it my kids start messing with it. At first it was annoying hearing it all the time, but I'm getting used to it!
