After the "spiralized" vegetables had cooled, I bought the official device "Spiralizer". I love zucchini and zucchini cooked this way, but I have tried 3 different manual "spiralizers" and they are all so labor intensive, difficult to use, time consuming and pretty crappy quality. I kept thinking in the back of my mind for several years. If only my mom would have given me her old TaterTwister, but sadly she didn't want to part with it (with good reason). I found a used TaterTwister here and I'm thrilled. Arrived in excellent condition, all the details are present. The curly blade is ideal for slicing 1/4 inch thick potatoes as well as zucchini and yellow squash. Hooray! This is a thicker cut than the spiralizer but cooks beautifully and is less mushy than the thinner zoodles! Minus for me - flat "spiral" blade body, rather fragile plastic after so many years of inactivity in the box, one of the clips holding it in the body of the presser foot broke immediately, but it still works. Time to spiralize zucchini when it took me to cook them. Now I can pull them through in a fraction of the time
