How do you get this to stick?

This is so difficult to use. It cuts and weeds okay, but getting it to stick is quite a job. Yes, it will eventually work, but it’s gonna make you work first. I attempted using a regular iron set on the hottest setting. First I tried using a pressing cloth over the vinyl; nope! Next, I tried ironing directly on the plastic that the letters are stuck to; naturally, the plastic curls up and the letters get smooshed around, but they STILL don’t stick to the canvas fabric. Eventually, I just held the iron on the pressing cloth for about a minute, let it cool slightly, and carefully peeled the plastic off with the help of the Cricut spatula. The letters weren’t really stuck to the canvas, so I covered them with the pressing cloth and ironed again, which seemed to work. However, I’m attempting multi-colors, and it has really turned into a nightmare.

Pros

Cons
  • May take multiple attempts to achieve desired result
