First of all I am a huge Boxicat fan and have been using Boxicat with probiotics for several years and love it! The only downside of this product was the weight of the filler, it's quite heavy! When I found this Boxicat 60 percent lighter, a wish came true! I bought two bags. I opened my first bag and divided the litter into two bowls. The following is my experience with this Boxicat lighter. GOOD: for which it gets two stars Weight: very light and amazing to hold, carry and pour! Definitely a WINNER in the weight department! Scent: It's labeled 'unscented' but I smell a lighter, earthier scent that's not too bad, it's just earthy, which I like. Texture: Light, super easy to spread in a bowl, which I really liked. IT'S NOT SO GOOD: Because this stuffing is light, the stuffing covered her fur when my furry little one went to the litter box. She started shaking her leg to remove the litter box, hastily jumped out of the litter box and began grooming it, which is a normal feline reaction. But when I noticed that she started to "eat" the litter out of her fur, I was shocked! So I saw my second fluffy toddler running around the litter box and started sniffing it, another normal cat thing, but when she started licking the litter box to eat I had to intervene. I'm not sure what about this product made them want to "eat" the junk! I have used many different types and brands of litter in my 10 years of being a fur meowie and I have never seen my furry babies "eat" litter. Without hesitation I emptied the pen from two bowls and sent the unopened second Boxicat pen back to Revain. I'd rather see my money go in the trash than find my furry babies sick with trash in their little tummies. I just ordered my original Boxicat probiotic again. FINAL THOUGHTS: If you decide to try this product, please see how your furry little ones react to it first. God saves the man who saves himself! Much luck!
