This cat cutout coffee table was a bit tought to put together because I never worked with cam locks before. Once I got the hang of what to do with the equipment, putting this together was a piece of cake. If you never worked with the cam locks, (the flat round metal things with a cross cutout) you can put them in the panel after you have the bolt in place. I didn't know that and struggled with aligning the cam locks and bolts correctly, and then they kept falling out, it was a tough learning curve.The panels had some chips and cracks that led me to believe it was boxed up like that. This is an oversight on the company because I can't see how you can get those cracks in shipping. Since most of the chips and cracks were on the interior of the table, and I needed it, I put the table together in instead of sending it back.The cat cutout is a good size for cats to walk through and is low enough to the floor so elderly cats can walk in as well. I ordered a plush cat bed just slightly larger than the dimensions of that area so my kitties can snuggle up in a little cave. Buttercup approved.The table works very well for a landing spot for video gaming with drinks and snacks. The short and wide shelves are a good height for game controllers, board game boxes and books. The middle shelf is tall enough for standard size glass bottles and cups. The space underneath is tall enough for cats to walk through, put shoes under, or even for people to stretch legs under.This coffee table is very versatile and a nice addition to my living room.
