After 21 years, the plastic hood latch release handle in my 1998 Honda Civic EX finally broke off. I figured I'd just pull the remaining plastic stump to open the hood, no biggie. Well, there IS a better way, and this is it! Comes with solid aluminum release handle, set screw, and Allen wrench. There are no instructions included, but logic should tell you what you need to do - cut off the plastic stump without damaging the metal core, slide this thing on, tighten up, and DONE. The Allen wrench included with my package seemed a little smaller than what was needed because it couldn't tighten the set screw firmly without slipping. So, I just used one that fit better from my own Allen wrench set. Holds on aggressively and opens my hood like it should.
