first let me say that I'm not a dancer. I bought these to wear with my Halloween costume. I also ordered pointe shoes from the official dance shop and they were very uncomfortable. Needless to say I couldn't return them because they were sold out. I decided to try these and I'm so glad I did. I also ordered regular flats and ended up switching to them in the middle of a party because I had to be walking up and down stairs all the time. But pointe shoes were relatively comfortable considering they are pointe shoes. Remember that pointe shoes are generally uncomfortable. Ask any dancer and they will likely agree. But for the price, they're good for costumes. I don't know them enough to say that you can run en pointe in them in any weather.
