I no longer recommend this product. First I liked that it worked and it was cheaper than buying it at a retail store. In my opinion, it doesn't necessarily deserve 1 star. However, positive reviews more than offset this rating, and positive reviews are misleading. This is nowhere near its 15,000 hour rating. I bought it about 480 days ago and didn't use it 24/7. But if I did it would be around 11,500 hours when it ran out. So with 12 hours of use I got about 5700 hours. I had 5 150 watt spotlights and accidentally put this one in one of them. After about 480 days, all 4 lamps of other brands work normally. This Sunlite brand is the only one that has passed. Depending on how difficult it is for you to change metal halide lamps, changing lamps more frequently may not be worth the lower initial cost. I wouldn't be writing this if just one or two of many long life bulbs failed prematurely or if Sunlite didn't rate their life very highly, but Sunlite metal halide bulbs have shown that their lifespans fall short of their maximum lifespan.
