I bought this for my sons 6th birthday. A bit young, yes, but precocious and coordinated. Of course I flew a bit first to make sure everything was working properly and to better explain to him how to fly it. Overall this is a good tool for beginners, responsive and fairly quick, and also stabilizes well when a beginner lacks proper stick skill. buy an add-on package. The GPS function was a bit problematic on our sample, but the resolution performance of the HubsanCamera is quite decent and it doesn't stutter at all. I wish the camera wasn't fixed, but this is a POV drone, not a model, so I guess that's to be expected. I wouldn't say it's very useful for navigation, you really have to keep an eye on the drone, but FPV helps with orientation. It's no surprise that the drone's control range exceeds the camera's transmission range, so keep that in mind.
