I considered installing this on my Jeep JKU but after inspecting it the unit is so cheaply made I could not make myself use it. Read on for my evaluation.THIN METAL: The gas cap assembly is aluminum, but thin sheetmetal bent to shape. Its very light and delicate.BEND IT WITH BARE HANDS: Its so thin and can bend it in half with my bare hands.NO REASON FOR A LOCK: The door is simply pryed open with a flat blade screwdrive with no effort at all. Not much lock security.NO INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: No instructions were provided with the unit but I see there are textual instructions provided on the Ebay web page. Pictures would have improved them.NO WEATHER SEAL: The door has no gasketing. They outer ring does not come with gasketing but perhaps there is OEM gasket that is reused.POOR HINGE DESIGN: The hinge pivot is a long screw with a nut without a lockwasher. The nut will soon work itself off from vibration and use and the door will fall off.HARD COATING: It has a hard anodized coating that is surprisingly tough given the budget nature of the unit.FAKE RIVETS LOOK FAKE: The indentation around the outside are there to simulate the look of rivets imitating a solid door and installation but the indents dont look real.ARTWORK NOT VISIBLE: The American flag artwork barely visible up close and invisible from a distance.CONCLUSION: Its budget item, inexpensive but cheaply made.
