I bought this key to replace a lost key. Before programming, I cut the key and was sure that everything would be fine. The key came with a card identifying the website for programming resources. When I went to the site it said my key could be programmed without a dealer or locksmith. After trying to follow the instructions many times, I gave up, pulled out my computer and launched Techstream. In key programming mode, Techstream reported that the key and ECU could not communicate. The seller offered the option to return it for a refund, but the money had already been spent making the key. That's why I warned in the title.
