My Aunt Fannie Heat Resistant Silicone Hose

Exactly what I was looking for and I liked the idea of the "heat resistant silicone hose" to keep the top connector from getting so hot. Well the silicone melted on one side and stuck the clip to the 40 watt bulb rendering it unusable. If I try to remove it I will most likely break the bulb and cut myself like others do. I want my money back or at least a replacement and will try again with a different lamp.
