I have used this several times with very well behaved older dogs. I think it fits the Mercedes GLK350 almost perfectly. I like how the rear wiring harness is stored in the spare tire well. I also like the mesh so dogs can see the driver/passenger (reassures her). I still don't know how to defend myself against vomiting, urine or feces (thankfully). However, as can be seen in the picture, the edges of the mat are slightly raised on the side walls of the compartment, which helps curb any canine aemia (for which the dog shown is often oversized). There are small problems. A more serious problem is that dogs tend to slip on the mat (the mat itself has not yet slid against the vehicle). I use dog harnesses, but they don't prevent slipping unless the dog is fully restrained (which a lot of dogs don't like). The second issue is that the attachment straps seem inadequate for the task. I suspect they will either break or rip the mat off. from slip. With these changes it would have been 5 stars. However, it is better than any other I have used.
