I installed six locks and the adhesive pads seem to be holding very well. When ordering, I was afraid that the adhesive pads would quickly fall apart. That didn't happen, I thought the wood in one of the boxes would peel off before the tape came loose. I repaired this drawer and reinstalled the lock with screws. That should be clear: it is important to clean the mounting surface WELL, otherwise the glue will fill up with dirt. These locks are way better than another brand I've bought in the past. If they continue to hold up I will most likely buy more. UPDATE 6/17/2019: It's been 8 months and these things are still holding on and going strong. I installed them in the kitchen and bathroom so they open and close frequently. I definitely recommend them. Update 10/21/2019: After 11 months of heavy use the adhesive pads STILL hold up but the spring clips in a pair of clasps have broken. Due to the frequent use I consider this to be normal wear and tear. I have ordered more of these locks.
