The colors and cut of this dress are BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely love the rich, saturated yellow and fire tones of the orange/red ombre, which is why I ordered it. The material is NOT beautiful, however. From the pictures I thought it was more of a jersey, t-shirt fabric or a lightweight acrylic/rayon. While it is a sturdy weight and looks well-stitched, the sheen is VERY unflattering to the torso unless your abdominal muscles are in peak condition. If you've had kids, are working to eliminate hormonal lower belly fat, or simply want to lose a few pounds around the middle, the eye is unfortunately verrrrry drawn directly to that area. There's nothing comfortable about having to suck in your stomach all day just to look good in your clothes. I'm also not a fan of how the pockets show straight through, which is also distracting to the line the dress creates. Finally, I got this dress to have an easy, flowy piece I can pull on in a second and dress up or down as need be. But I live in Florida, and the non-breathable, shiny, somewhat heavy fabric will stick to me every time I go outside for 8 out of 12 months a year. Regrettably, this is going back.
