Early review, so no durability assessment. However, I could immediately feel the warmth. The exterior has a tough, weatherproof feel to it. Have not tested in rain, but really, if it's warm enough to rain, I will wear a different jacket. Today, it was single digits with nasty wind in MI, and this jacket did the job as well as can be expected.Pockets: plenty of them. I was put off at first by the main front 4 pockets, which have big flaps, but no closures. i was almost going to return it until I found the big zippered pockets along the ribs. There are two other zippered pockets on the left side, which can fit a plus-sized smart phone.Hood: yes, zipperedCuffs: hook/loop, which can be tightened to fit gauntlets over them, or they can be let out to fit smaller gloves under them. Versatile.One thing "missing" that I can easily remedy is the lack of zipper pulls, like little cords or something, which would be nice when wearing heavy winter gloves.It is a tad heavy, but not too bad. Plus, what can one expect when trying to beat single-digit or even sub-zero weather?EDIT Update:-A few random strings coming loose here and there, nothing major so far.-The collar loop, which I assumed was for hanging the jacket, has broken after only a couple of weeks, only hanging it from that loop occasionally. Not heavy duty enough, especially for the weight of this jacket.-Use care when squatting or sitting down, as this jacket is on the longer side. What happened to me is, I squatted down to pick something up, and the lower part of the jacket was around my upper thighs, which pulled the two sides apart, right at the bottom of the zipper, which pulled a few stitches out. Same thing can happen when simply sitting down.-Finally, I'd suggest buying some attachable zipper pulls, as these are hard to grab with gloves on (presumably you'll be in cold weather and wearing gloves frequently)
