Review on Leather Berber Thinsulate Gloves Black by Jonathan Partridge

Doesn't protect well from cold

I bought these gloves to replace old suede gloves with detachable wool lining, similar to US Army government gloves from the 1960's. They served for a long time, but the skin eventually rubbed off on the fingers. These are good classic gloves, but they don't protect my hands from the cold as well as wool-lined gloves. We had a pretty cold Pennsylvania winter last year, and I went back to my leaky old trusty gear and put the new ones in the car's glove box, from which I've only taken them once since. I have searched long and hard; but i can't find exactly what i want, genuine leather with interchangeable wool lining. Being fortunate enough to be living to a more mature age, blood flow to my fingers is reduced in cold weather and it's important to keep them warm on long winter walks with the dog. If anyone has found something better, I'd like to know.

Pros
  • Genuine sheepskin gloves with elasticated wrist
Cons
  • Vulgarity
