A bag of shit? for food containers

First I put an oxygen scavenger in a mylar bag which I heat sealed, after 24 hours the amount of air in the bag has not changed. Thought maybe I need 2 scavengers so I repackaged them with 2, still no change (even after 3 days. I put all the remaining scavengers in a jar with a lid, there was no seal on the stone jar either. Bad bag but I'm very disappointed in them.
