So far so good. Has been working without problems for a few days now. Replaced a failed drive in a Dell XPS laptop, installed Windows 10 and everything works fine. Fits perfectly. No trace of previously installed items (no existing partitions, etc.). Calm. I haven't run any tests but would say it's as fast as my desktop 7200rpm drive (launching and loading apps). Seems to be faster than most 5400rpm laptop drives I've come across. On this laptop, the drive is located under the top (plastic) cover, to the left of the touchpad. After several hours of use, the top surface of the laptop was only SLIGHTLY warmer than the other side. So there doesn't seem to be a problem with the heating. This is also the side where the exhaust port is, so extra heat might not even be associated with the propulsion. So far very satisfied. The 7200 RPM drive is smaller than many 5400 RPM drives - you can't beat it.
