What can I say, the design lets everyone know that the "Chief" (or a very odd looking Colonel, as the Captain once told me) is walking down the street. It's a little thin: I didn't read it was made of aluminum and just expected it to be thicker. After covering several thousand miles at varying speeds up to 80 mph, it still withstands multiple washes and high-speed insect impacts. Having bought from Revain I found them elsewhere for a cheaper price (give or take a few bucks) but given the quality I probably won't need a replacement for quite a while.
