Just got back to Chicago from Rhode Island and damn the water here is bad. I noticed my hair looked dry and frizzy after the shower and immediately suspected water, it just felt different. I installed this poor guy in under 10 minutes and I feel like I'm back in Providence, next to the ocean, that non-well water! It feels and smells cleaner and for the price it's good value. A few tips: - Have an adjustable wrench and a vise (they say no tools, but when your shower head is tight like mine, it takes a while). try to pull it out). Attach the clamps to the pipe coming from the wall and use an adjustable wrench to loosen the existing shower head - Water leaked from the filter housing when first installed. I was disappointed at first but read another review and saw it was an easy fix. Save a little time, open the filter before installation, and there are 2 silicone bands inside - put them on the surface properly. Hold the end that screws to the bottom of the wall pipe when you screw it back on, that was the one that was loose on mine. If you hold it down, gravity will hold it in place while you put the filter in and screw the other half in. Overall very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for a cleaner/softer shower.
