It's handy, they're probably warm unless you first use them during the Minnesota cold spell, which lasted a month and averaged -35 to -50 with winds. My husband's palms were warm but his fingers were always cold, he didn't really feel like they felt much better even in normal MN cold (near freezing or single digit weather for finger cold), so for a normal place, that doesn't get very cold is probably great, but I'd probably turn it down if you live in a very cold place, maybe we just didn't get an excellent pair.
