This StarTech USB Type-C Multiport Adapter works great on HP Omen Windows 10 Gaming PCs (i7-7770, GTX1070, 16GB RAM).1.) No drivers required. Just plug it into the front USB Type-C port and Windows will automatically load the drivers in seconds. I was then able to connect a mouse to one of the USB ports, a CAT5e cable to an Ethernet port, etc. and that was it. 2.) Build quality. OK. It says it's "durable" and aluminum, but it doesn't seem very strong to me - it creaks a little when pressed. And if it's aluminum, I don't know what to say. It certainly doesn't look like aluminum I've ever played with, and I always have a MacBook Pro and an iMac. More plastic than aluminum. 3.) The cable is not removable, so breaking or tearing it will render the adapter useless. But overall it works perfectly. I'd rather have it come with some sort of case/cover, but here it is. 4 out of 5 points. Recommended with some limitations.
