Review on Nathan James Nailhead Kitchen Upholstered by Heather May

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bad foot instruction.

Bought two received yesterday. This is generally a good product BUT they can be assembled incorrectly and the instructions for this issue are vague. The problem is how the legs are placed on the seat. There are 3(!) possible positions. Internal, external and vice versa. The back is pretty obvious because then the spider holes don't work. However, internal and external are not obvious. Most of the legs (apparently this depends on the quality control of the workmanship) can be placed in two different places by rotating them properly and fixing them with screws. External position - flush with the sides of the seat. The inner position is flush with the corner cross member. The instructions don't say how to do it correctly. Fortunately (or unfortunately) two of the eight legs did not fit into the inner position. The other leg went in but was so tight that it couldn't go all the way in. The rest of the legs fit nicely into the inside position. Also note that the crosses fit in or out, although with the legs in the inside positions the crosses fit very, very tightly. But those observations were the only indication that the legs should have been outside (assuming I'm right and it's not a quality control issue).

Pros
  • Many are enough
Cons
  • Some difficulties
