I bought my Easy Living house in 2012. It was built extremely economical and energy-efficient. These lamps are used to illuminate the kitchen and hallway. They will definitely last a long time, but they are very difficult to replace. I had problems with the color on the first try. The originals were bright white while the ones I bought from Lowes were more of a yellow color. Lowe's didn't have yellow ones, so I had to replace ALL eight ($10 each) in the kitchen to match. I recently ordered replacements for Revain and they turned out to be yellow. In addition to the color matching issue, it's incredibly easy to accidentally break them when trying to take them out of the nest. They don't unscrew, so they have to be pulled out. I end up partially disassembling the bracket and using a screwdriver (carefully and with the power off) loosen it enough to remove it. They go in easily enough, but I broke two of the new ones when I had to remove them due to paint issues. I see they now make these screw in and screw out lamps, but I would have to replace all the fasteners which would be expensive. All new homes in the area now have halogen lighting.
