If you're looking for an affordable gaming monitor, QHD models are the way to go in 2022. Most modern graphics cards can achieve very high frame rates of 2560 x 1440. 4K gaming is still very expensive compared to them as a 4K monitor costs with the right specs, and you have to buy one of the most expensive graphics cards. So unless you have unlimited funds, QHD monitors still give you a great gaming experience at a price most people can afford. Needless to say, there has been a lot of competition among monitor manufacturers lately. Everyone is releasing new QHD monitors this year, even companies like HyperX who, to my knowledge, have never made monitors in the past. This Armada 27 monitor tries to differentiate itself by offering a desktop mount instead of a traditional monitor stand. I've seen several LG monitors with this mount, but it's usually a separate purchase, not something that comes with the monitor. However, I'm not very impressed. I wish HyperX had a traditional stand as well. Considering the price they charge for this monitor, they could easily afford to include both a traditional stand and a desktop mount. The desk mount is very flexible, but not everyone has a desk to place it on. The last thing you want to do is buy a monitor and realize that you also have to buy a new desk or buy a third-party stand just to use that fancy monitor you just bought. This monitor has good specs for a 27 inch gaming monitor. It supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and has a refresh rate of 165 Hz. However, there are other monitors for less money that also support G-SYNC and have even higher refresh rates. If HyperX drops the price of this monitor to $350 and includes a traditional stand in addition to the desktop mount, I think they will be selling more of these monitors than they can produce. But at the current price point, it's just not a great value, despite being a very good gaming monitor.
