Good for night shifts.
I work the night shift so it is important that there is no light in my bedroom. Curtains wrapped around the sides of the pole block a significant amount of light. I installed it about 6 inches above the window to maximize the amount of light that gets through. I accidentally ordered one larger than my window so I didn't have to use an extension cord. Without the extension I feel it very strong, not sure how much it is extended. Without the extension, I didn't have to use the center mount, which is good because then the light can't seep through the center.
