As described: Size S fits 13-16" (34-42cm) chest and 9-12" (24-32cm) neck. My dog is 15" chest size so I ordered a small one. The thing is about 2-3 cm too small. around her body. From the end of the buckle to the first hole on the other end where the buckle hooks is about a foot. UPDATE: We ordered 2 medium and 1 large for our 3 12-16 lb dogs. Everything fits well. You could probably get a 20 pound dog in a big one. The small ones are probably only good for teacup sized breeds. However, they are well made, so I will order a size or two for them instead.
