I have to say I switched from a centrifugal juicer to this one so my surprise may be a bit skewed but this thing is amazing nonetheless. it's about a week. and drink juice every day. Here are the advantages: SUPER QUIET Easy to assemble Easy to disassemble and clean High juice yield Dry pulp Smart lid makes it easy to mix juices NO OXIDATION! I was making juice and got distracted to walk the dog. When I returned to the kitchen table 20 minutes later, the juice was still TOTALLY smooth! Cons: According to the instructions, not washable in the dishwasher. (I have to be honest. The plastic seems strong enough to withstand this, but I dare not try since it's so easy to clean. A case for any household juicer.) Certain veggies I sampled got: Spinach: Great. MUCH higher juice yield and drier pulp than centrifugation. Carrots: great. Slightly moister pulp, but still very high juice yield. Beets: Unbelievable. This thing chewed on some HARD chunks of beetroot like it was nothing and came out at least 30% more juice than I've ever gotten out of a centrifuge. Pomegranate Seeds: They are easy to work with and I didn't find any juice in the pulp. there seemed to be no problems and the meat was stringy and completely dry, as if it had been pressed rather than cut. :) Apples/Pears: Slightly frothy juice but very dry flesh. Tips: When using a smart cap, the juice may get slightly frothy, so be aware. Still a great feature and I love it. The silicone seal on the pulp outlet tube can and should be opened during cleaning. The pusher is only needed for leafy greens like baby spinach. Do not chop other vegetables. They will feed themselves and moving slowly will give you a much greater juice output. Overall this is a great juicer and well worth the investment! Smartcap makes it easy to blend vegetable and fruit juices! The sturdy base with easy to assemble parts makes it a great addition to any kitchen and the perfect tool to bring the power of juicing into your life!
