Remember that this is a very strong material. When you drill a hole for the lanyard, place it in a vise to keep the drill bit from hanging down. And expect LOTS of long-lasting SPARKS! Remove ALL FLAMMABLE MATERIALS within at least 3 feet of your work area. I used tungsten carbide bits so the extreme heat and pressure wouldn't ruin even the titanium coated bits. Carbide/Masonry Drills are very cheap here at Revain. I drilled mine outdoors at night and the light show was amazing. And bevel the hole so the sharp edges don't cut the cable. For me it was a fun project.
