I got this as a gift for my boyfriend. The one I have I've been using for over 6 years. It's bent and scratched in all the right ways lol and still so. So far I have a strong, clear recommendation for any slob. One of the rating options was for water resistance, not sure what they mean but I'm from a very humid place and it doesn't rust. Also, I think if you mean if it falls down the toilet water probably won't seep in if you take it out right away there is a rubber seal in there but I'm not sure as I've never had problems like this and it have not tested.
