Honest review and tips for a successful installation

Overall this is the best motion sensor faucet I've found for a reasonable price. That being said, there are a few things to consider before making your purchase. If you're good at installing faucets (have done it a few times), you can walk through it and you'll probably figure it out like me (the included instructions are confusing and imprecise). So if this is your first faucet installation, get someone to help you and make sure they read these tips. Installation Tips: * Don't get too carried away with the installation diagram. This is incorrect, mainly because it was designed for 220V and possibly for the European and Russian markets (instructions in English and Russian, which is a bit unusual for the North American market). The parts listed are also incorrect if you are ordering this from the US - the parts you will receive should be fine but the instructions are for a different set of gear only so don't pay too much attention to them. * You may need to get several faucet pipe fittings appropriate for your situation. The supplied hot and cold leads were not suitable for my situation. The included valve, which you will need to connect the water lines, accepts 1/2" female thread connections. The other end will depend on the valve mounted on your wall and may not be as small a connection as the lines provided. included. *Check the faucet carefully before attempting to install it in the sink, you will find a metal U-bracket as well as a rubber U-bracket which *you will also need to remove* if you want the faucet is level with the top of your sink after tightening the wing nuts on the bottom. It's easy to think that all the rubber parts go above the sink line, they don't. The rubber U-piece goes under the sink. before you assemble the metal U-bracket This is not typical of other faucet sets I've used so I thought it was worth mentioning first in the faucet this might mean en, as in my case you have to take a flashlight and just stick this cord into the faucet under your case and twist clockwise until it starts to screw in (line of sight will be tricky). Before you do this, make sure your wing nuts are out of the way. I also recommend wrapping the threads with pipe tape beforehand as the black o-rings are easily damaged and compressed and I suspect they are not holding the seal as well as I would like. as in a very short. It doesn't give you much play. Of course, you must carefully consider where you are installing the valve box before attaching it and making sure the water supply line reaches to the floor and still has enough room to wrap around, up and into the faucet assembly. Just make sure you have some time to check the length and position before making a mental decision about where you're going to place things. Bathroom sink. and somehow that faucet seemed moved a bit forward (closer to you, the user) than it should be. I ended up drilling out a bit more clearance behind the faucet anchor bolts to give them a bit of leeway to recede about a quarter of an inch. This made it possible to correctly install this mixer and completely close the open holes. The open area in front of my "fix" was small, maybe 1/8 inch or so, but cosmetically it wasn't perfect, so I continued to drill out that extra space. If what I'm describing doesn't make complete sense, imagine dropping a drill bit into the center hole of your sink faucet's mounting area and trimming off the top left and top right interior portions of that center hole a bit (don't drill down ). , but use a drill to shorten the inside of this hole a bit). I recommend using pliers to gently twist them and make sure they're tight before proceeding (make sure you protect the threads if you're grabbing more than a little bit). and screws included, please note your sink will likely already have a wooden top/back that you could drill into and just use the screws provided yourself. There are two fewer holes in the wall and in my case this was the optimal position to install this box. Tips after installation: * Don't feel like you have to fully open the hot and cold water valves. This will give you maximum flow out of the tap, but it will also waste a lot of water and you probably don't need full flow anyway. Since this is an automatic faucet, these valves are your only way to control the flow rate. Consider setting them to your desired flow rate before closing your sink cabinet and forget them.* If you hear a "thumping" sound coming from your pipes as the water starts to flow, try turning the faucets on hot and cold cold to open or close water. lines a little until it stops. I've found this can happen if the valves are closed too tightly.* After I've installed a faucet, I always place paper towels in my cupboard under the sink to make sure all my valve connections are tight and there aren't any leaks . On this unit I found that the variable temperature valve connections from the hot and cold lines were not comfortable with standard hand tightening plus a 1/4 inch wrench. One connection was ok and the other was not. was able to overcome this with a little extra tightening with a wrench (be careful as you can also over tighten connectors like this.) Considering the above you can see that it takes a bit of attention and care to install properly. taps before you realize this is usually the case. I have this experience too, but even this kit threw me a few cycles before I felt like it was "done". The faucet deserves a little more credit for being one of the few motion-activated household faucets that comes at a reasonable (if not exactly cheap) price point. So if it bothers you, you can move on; The alignment of the faucet spout and body seems a bit off to me (if you look very closely). It's also not the best of the best in terms of metal strength/build quality and the design is a bit bland, but overall I'd say the looks and functionality would be good enough for most. Aside from brief unexpected glitches during normal use, I'll probably leave it on and expect it to work just fine. My review may not be the standard for everyone, but I hope this review is helpful to some.
