Review on Renewed Samsung Galaxy S7 G930A Unlocked AT&T GSM 32GB Smartphone - Black by Ada Falkowska ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

In general, the phone is excellent, it does not cause negative emotions. There are a number of drawbacks that I'm not used to yet, but further use will show. I expect that the phone will prove to be a reliable assistant in any situation. I also considered Samsung A series (2022), but for me it's a rough and primitive design. I had a similar phone - LG L7. Nothing special. But if the battery does not really swing and the phone will pull a maximum until the evening, then I will be extremely disappointed.

Pros
  • I will compare with my old LG G2, which proved to be a reliable and sturdy phone, but which was finished off by replacing it with a Chinese screen and the crooked hands of our repairmen. My phone is black. 1) Waterproof - not yet tested, but very useful quality for sports and hiking. I have already ordered a special shockproof case, which should make the smartphone a full-fledged protected phone. LG G2 withstood a lot and even got wet almost through, but it never swam in the water, and the phone is not designed for this, so every time there was a risk of getting a broken brick. 2) MicroSD is a definite plus. Every time the phone is reset, you have to copy absolutely all the data to the PC so as not to lose it. In addition, a separate card makes it easier to work with data such as music, video, and more. I prefer not to load the main memory of the phone. At the moment I am not using the card. 3) Dual SIM is a definite plus that should prove itself when traveling. Arriving in another country, I immediately bought a SIM card from a local operator from the Internet. I also use a GPS navigator for local communication. As a result, the native SIM is removed and the connection on the old phone is lost. 4) The camera is an order of magnitude better, both front and rear. Sharper, better focusing in dark conditions than the G2, overall a great camera. Although G2 has been around for years. 5) Wireless charging is a useful thing. At home, a wireless charge bought for tests was lying around for a long time - connected - it works. QI standard. 6) The body is monolithic, weighty, durable. And there is reason to believe that it is more protected from shock. I will give an example - in the service they told me that they brought new broken iPhones a week after they started selling them. There were only a few broken Samsung galaxy s6 for all time. During disassembly, it turned out that the display and all important parts were laid with a damping rubber seal. 7) Always On Screen - a pretty useful thing if it does not eat up the battery.
Cons
  • 1) Battery. So far I have not noticed much difference with the LG G2, if not worse. I changed the phone with priority to the battery. 8 hours of use (1 hour GPS, half an hour internet and standby) and already 62% left. The charge decreases when the phone is just lying down. G2 worked just as well. I will wait for the results after further use. According to the tests, the S7 should be very cool, but then the tests . If the battery is worse than on the G2, it will be a fail. 2) Hardware button Home. After G2 got used to the fact that all the buttons are touch-sensitive and no extra effort is needed. After unlocking the G2 by knocking on the screen with the Samsung, it is extremely unusual to work. You have to do a lot of extra moves. 3) The case is solid and solid, but the G2 feels lighter, nicer, thinner in the hands, plus a larger screen. 4) HUGE MINUS - INTERFACE. It’s unusual for me after G2, but the font size in the contact list, in the phone list and in many places does not change here. In G2, you change the size for yourself with two fingers with a pinch. Here, many names do not fit entirely and you have to open them to see them. In addition, you cannot hide numbers from the SIM card, you cannot choose which numbers to show and which not (device, from the gmail address book, from Sim, etc.) Throws out all the numbers in a large list. Perhaps somewhere in the depths of the interface this can be changed. 5) There are no normal useful widgets: a list of tasks from the calendar (agenda), weather forecast (something with one day, I prefer to see the entire forecast for the week) 6) There is no free GPS navigator like on LG. This was one of the reasons why I have been using LG since the LG P500, the full version of CityGuide, which performs very well in all conditions. You will have to buy a license, navigator is extremely inconvenient to use. All free gift apps are basically junk. A 100 GB OneDrive might be useful. 7) A small minus, but the lack of synchronization of Media files from phone to PC. Only outlook contacts and thanks for that. LG PC Suite is more interesting here.
