The G600 range finder was ordered for golf and hunting use. When I received the rangefinder, I opened the box and was pleased to find that it comes in a nice hard case. Then, after re-reading the instructions and the product description, I noticed that the product description says that the rangefinder does NOT come with a battery. This gave me a bit of a negative impression as to why the manufacturer/seller didn't provide a battery for a $100 product. using the battery. So I took the battery and opened the battery compartment. To my surprise, there was actually a packaged battery in the battery compartment. On testing and comparing the range finder to an older brand range finder I own, it was found to be accurate at short, medium and long ranges. up to about 300 meters. All of the different distances I tested with both rangefinders were within a meter or so of each other. I haven't tested more as the farthest shot I have is about 230 yards. The tilt feature worked well. That being said, I only use the tilt feature as a general tip. I've been using Tilt for a number of years and have found that in some cases they have been 1-2 clubs wrong. Another feature I like is the ability to toggle features on a "fog" setting. Although I haven't tested this feature, it appears to be similar to the Regen setting on another oscilloscope I had. I look forward to testing it out over the next few months. SUMMARY: Judging by my testing, this is a decent rangefinder. It is accurate and reliable in use. For the price I would definitely order it again.
