I bought them because of the shine and also because they look like Cyrepil (my favorite wax). The beads melted quickly and easily and the glitters blended beautifully, but when applied they were flimsy and fell apart easily. I thought maybe my temp was too high but even at a lower temp the wax didn't pull out a streak and even the pulls that caught the most were rather painful for my client. (She said it didn't hurt as much as GiGi, but she definitely preferred Cirepil). Personally, it wasn't "more painful", but I had to go over the test area twice to fully grasp all the hairs. After all, it's a cheaper alternative that's definitely prettier, but more painful.
