Finally the perfect phone holder!

I have researched the different types of phone mounts carefully and not wanting anything on the dash to block my view I went with the Bestrix CD slot first. magnetic mount. Unfortunately, the magnet was so weak that my phone kept falling off. I figured I had to get back to the drawing board while I was in my sister's car and saw that she had two small round magnetic holders, one on the front panel on the driver's side and the other on the passenger side. . The one on the driver's side that she uses the most was the Nekteck and the other was the Wizgear. I asked her if she had a problem with her phone (Galaxy Note and much larger than my Google Pixel) falling off the magnets. She said no, never, they were both great. So I tried my phone on each of them and was amazed at how strong both magnets were compared to Bestrix. I did some more research and settled on the Nekteck model which, instead of sitting flat like my sister's holder, has a slight extension thus exposing the controls on the dash. I was only able to find a spot big enough to hold the nekteck and I was a bit concerned that a corner was sticking out of the panel (see photo). But I didn't have to worry, it hasn't moved since I put it there a few days ago and the magnet keeps my phone secure. The device is small enough to be unobtrusive and very practical at the same time. Perfect! Update: Seven months later, Nekteck is still as reliable and dependable as day one. Never slipped or fell off the bracket. I drive a van, so the ride is fairly smooth, but on the rare occasion I hit a significant bump, my phone doesn't budge from its mount. Also, the back of my Google Pixel's case is a VRS Design model with slightly ribbed material, but the magnet is so strong that a smooth surface isn't necessary for a really good grip. I occasionally flip the phone from portrait to landscape using a magnet and it holds securely. It took a while before I reached for my phone to keep it from falling off every time I hit a small bump with a previous low quality magnet, but the Nekteck turned out to be a well thought out and quality product - right like the Toyota it's in. . :-)
