These bindings are very strong, wider than most. I used for changing - I fastened metal shelves and racks in bundles so they wouldn't slide or rumble. Used to attach elements to lashing eyes in vehicles and trailers for load securing. They proved their strength and worth when I encountered deer on the freeway. Panic stop at 70mph in a sports car loaded with heavy wire racks. It could have been a painful experience for me and could have damaged the interior of the car, but the zip ties held the luggage racks to the cargo restraints and everything stayed in place. Also used for contractors' oversized garbage bags that were packed with heavy debris. I turned the tops of the bags, locked them, and they could even be thrown upside down in a truck to get through. Tighter and weaker ties snapped, ripped the pocket or unzipped. They persevered. For those who have complained about them being brittle, cracking or coming loose, I think you have a bad batch. I've used them to the fullest and none have failed. The one who gave a star because half the ties were white. Yes, in the picture it's only black, but if you read the description you can clearly see that it's black and white.
