Great idea, poorly done. Kitchenaid's claim that it is "premium metal construction" is FALSE. The blade carrier is made of plastic that bends and deforms. As a result, the cutter heads quickly begin to press against the long drive screw. Because it's so cheap and flexible, you can't successfully peel anything tougher than an apple. Even if you limit it to apples and handle it very carefully, after cooking 4 cakes it will deform to the point of being unusable. I will return it tomorrow. Edit: I called Kitchenaid and they refused to accept returns due to a faulty design (also Revain's returns window closed 2 weeks ago so this is not an option). I am very dissatisfied with this experience and with Kitchenade's customer service.
