Review on Escali 2210IB ArtiXL Glass Digital LCD Kitchen Scale, Extra-Large with Liquid and Dry Ingredient Measurement, Tare Function, 22lb Capacity, Black by David Crawford

Note for bread makers

I have had a smaller Escali for about 5 years. It has a smaller capacity (too small for bread baking) but still works well. I baked a loaf of bread today with this ArtiXL22101B and it kept freezing after I pressed the tare button. For example, with a bowl of a bread machine, already on the scales. plus maybe 400g of flour and water if you hit the "Tare" button and then add rye flour it's zero grams no matter how much you added (no I didn't accidentally hit the "Hold" - button pressed) . This is definitely a problem because now you don't know how much rye flour you added and you can't remove the rye flour and start over. So he gets 2 stars and comes back. I'm looking at the LanSheng 5000 right now. So far it seems to get the job done and has better accuracy. We will see.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
