Review on ๐Ÿฑ Slinky Paws Cat Scratch Furniture Protector and Training Tape: Shield Your Furniture from Cat Claws and Encourage Scratch Post Usage by Stephanie Benoit

If you have a cat, you have good things on hand

I bought these for my sister who was willing to relocate a cat who literally destroyed her furniture. I haven't delivered them to her yet, but in the meantime I've bought a beautiful new ottoman. Now my little angels (laughs!) never scratched my furniture until they thought my beautiful new ottoman was a giant cat scratching post. Pooh. I remembered that I have a Slinky Paws Cat Scratch Training Band, a product I never thought I would need myself. But since I had one, I think I may have saved the Ottoman from an early death by cat's claw. This seemed to be a common theme in reviews of Ottomans. So far, so good! The look on their faces as if they were wrapped in a simple white ribbon is priceless! The top has yet to be taken care of, I'm not ready to cover it up yet, so it's just a small blanket or tray at night. The tape stuck well and I'll remove it once I'm sure it's not for cat claws. Lots of sheets in 2 different sizes and easy to trim if needed. If you are new to kittens, please remember to give them opportunities to scratch themselves during training, which will not cause them any problems. Keep the scratching post next to the "glued" furniture. Use cat sleep, toys, treats, praise, and fake scratching to get them to use it when they don't try naturally. There is a lot of useful information with a quick search. The only thing I think would make the Slinky Paws band better is probably the clear band version, but I really appreciate it saving my ottoman!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
