I have tried many collars. The main problem for owners of indoor and outdoor cats is the fear that the collars will not come loose when hanging or will slip off, eventually choking or trapping the pet. The second problem is the collars, which constantly rub the hair on the cat's neck. The third problem is the ongoing loss of collars in indoor and outdoor cats. This collar is I believe neoprene with velcro closure. It is easy. slipping or detaching. Does not stress the hair excessively. And of three apartment street cats, only one collar was lost. The other two cats had worn their collars for so long that I had to replace them because the funny pattern on the neoprene was looking bad with wear. Fun designs and colors for each cat color.
