I was disappointed that I couldn't control the volume on these guys. Only to realize that the volume can be easily adjusted, not with a rotary control on the main receiver but with the +/- buttons on the main interface. It might sound like "ghosts" but the transmitters also have these buttons and they change channels, that's all. So for some reason I figured the recipient would be limited to the same treatment. All in all, these are killer budget options to add to your arsenal. They cross each other when you are at a distance and walk behind objects (walls, platforms, etc.). Consider where you will place the receiver and transmitter in relation to each other. If you have it, they work as expected.
