I bought this case a few weeks ago for my new iPad because Otterbox cases for this particular iPad are nowhere to be found. I had trouble choosing a case - an iPad costs $$$ and you need good protection. I don't like tablet style tablets, my tablet never leaves my house so I don't need a screen cover, I prefer the standing model and it's harder to find. I've been very happy about it! The rubber is snug, the buttons don't get in the way of the speakers, and the screen is very responsive. I feel the case is solid, although I don't plan to test it by dropping the item, but if I accidentally do it, I think the protection will be adequate. Portrait to landscape viewing is so easy. Pulling out was a bit tight at first, but it works fine now. I only use the hand strap when walking down stairs or when holding several other items at once, but otherwise it feels bulky and in the way: there's no need to place a table with an item attached to it on a flat surface. The first thing I did was remove the strap, but my husband (who has a slightly older iPad) liked my new case so much we ordered one for his model and he has a tablet around his neck. The strap is a huge feature for this. The colors are great. I went with red, which is a very pretty red and makes the tablet easy to spot, but I wish I had gone with orange when I saw it on my husband's tablet. Unless I have a major problem with one of those boxes. In the future I will buy them for any future upgrades. The price difference between this and Otterbox is significant, but it has more features, and Otterbox's main benefit is the peace of mind that your tablet is protected - this product seems to get the job done perfectly.
