Suitable for general use but they fill up and wear out fairly quickly. In my case, the sanded surface separated from the substrate and the gray adhesive was exposed and transferred to the work as an awkward gray stain that was difficult to remove. I may have used the disc for too long or applied too much pressure, but this is something to watch out for as the disc nears the end of its life. The velcro fits my ryobi perfectly and the sizing is perfect. When purchasing inexpensive tools, you should be aware of their limitations in order for them to serve you well. If people are complaining that their discs aren't sticking, they should check the velcro on the bottom of their grinder - mine is worn and starting to stick poorly. I replaced my Porter Cable 382 gasket today and it is holding up very well. Still not the best, but they're ok for the price. upgrade to 4 stars,
