I was skeptical at first, as a longtime Ring user, better images and software integration, data can be stored locally, FREE, yes, no subscription fee. I have Arlo, Ring and now Eufy. Took the ring yesterday and now happy with Eufy. Arlo provides basic monitoring services as we can review records for 7 days what people need most. However, Ring has a very different business model as the user can only read the magazine if they pay a monthly fee. If so, they should provide HW for free with a monthly subscription model. I hate that Ring does that. Surprisingly, Eufy (Anker) is very diligent in fixing and updating the app and device FW. This way they hear and understand the needs and concerns of customers. The installation process wasn't well debugged, but it was very simple and good. Responsiveness (connections and latency) is significantly better than Ring. The AI-implemented detection works well. Video quality and access log (stored on local Micro SD card) are almost real time with good quality video, yes you can see clearly. The Eufy mobile app is compact but less complicated and easier to use. Based on the insights and comparisons, I strongly recommend Eufy over Ring. Only thing related to long term reliability, I will update when I go.
