This is my first XLR Mic and I'm impressed so far. I've been using it for about a week and have been recording voice overs and video with it. The quality you get from XLR is about three notches better than the best USB I've tried. Combined with a decent mixer this is a whole new level of sound. The sound is clear and crisp. It also doesn't pick up much ambient noise from the room. The microphone is front-facing and picks up a fairly wide angle. Doesn't miss much even if I'm sitting a few feet away. Also, I was able to leave the ceiling fan on while recording and still didn't have to edit much in post. Saves so much time. The microphone has a decent weight and is durable. The pen holder is durable and absorbs shock well. The filter is pretty standard, but I'm glad it came with it. One thing I was very happy with, the mount (including the arm). The part that connects to the table is much better than the one I used - solid metal with good padding. A hand can reach the end of the table and struggle to stay exactly where I want it. No wobbling or sagging. All round the quality is excellent. I have used many USB mics in the past (including one from MAONO) and I will never go back to them. XLR for all cases!
