I ended up buying a couple of these splits to reorganize my home theater's power wiring. The form factor and included brackets allowed me to screw the power distribution panels to the back of the case and secure the many power cords. Now all I have to do is connect two long cords to the wall instead of a mass of cords going to overloaded power strips. The aluminum body is of good quality and strong enough for the purpose. The plugs fit well and I consider this a feature so that the cables don't come loose easily. The mounts are simple and work well.
