I had a casemate for my iPhone 6 that my son gave me. Had it for 2 years gave it to me and I used it for 2 more years and it still worked. So when I bought the 8+ I bought this one. It does everything I want and still fits in my jean pockets or in a car dashboard mount to use GPS maps. Looks good and holds up well. The only place it breaks is the plastic case on the corner of the camera, which is very thin. If you take it out of the case too many times, it will break. However, this does not change the way it works. It protects my phone as I have dropped it several times but the phone has not been damaged. It contains my driver's license, several credit cards, and some cash.
