For all the BAD experiences I've had with braided cables, no thanks, nothing quite like it. They ALL ended up in the trash can. Without exceptions. They just don't last. I think the only way I could really tell the cable had no coil was to try this flat one. Obviously it's all plastic, no fancy packaging, and it's a solid cable too. The super high quality of these guys can be seen from the first minute; That sleek black body is really just muscular, and the connectors, both 90-degree and straight-angle, are at least three notches above the quality of mainstream connectors. They are really good, they are firmly inserted into the vessels and they look very classy. Do they make my games sound better on my Galaxy Tab? nope I don't think for a minute that expensive cables matter to your speakers/headphones. Consumer Reports compared two two-meter HDMI cables; one they bought by mail order for $3.95 +- $1.00 shipping. Just a regular cable; nothing special. Then they bought a two-meter suitcase from a big brand; Oh, there was this and that, and oxygen-free copper and copper-free oxygen, custom insulation for a faster signal, blah blah, disgusting. It turned out that the cheaper cable transmitted the signal with the same or even better picture quality than the $$$ cable, and that was in the test. So DO NOT be swayed by these MONSTERS who will make you spend money on something that is no better than the competition and at a price 7 times the price.
